Decision Mechanism

Do we really make every decision?

I lived in other cities and I can say that the main reason for this was to escape from my current situation and my family. The part of me that was afraid to confront myself was taking me from place to place, away from my family.

So far my goal has been to escape from what is happening rather than to go somewhere. When I moved to another city, things were not very different. Yes, the surroundings, friends, and places have changed. These provided certain changes to some extent.

It was nice to be on the road. It was nice meeting people. The facilities were good.

When we describe a place as having a good side, it also has a bad side. If we are aware of this and accept that place completely, everywhere is peace for us.

We obtain information and experiences from many sources and the environment. Even if we sometimes think we have forgotten, we can make decisions in the light of these resources.

We make some decisions because they come from ourselves and belong to our inner world.

As you noticed here, we make a decision that comes from outside and we make a decision that comes from inside.

How does your decision mechanism work here? Are you more of a decision-maker or taker?

The real purpose of someone who looks at others and makes decisions and proceeds in this way is to look good to others and have themselves approved.

As we continue to make decisions from the outside, it becomes harder to make decisions from the inside. As you start to implement what the outside wants, you move away from yourself. There is no such thing as good or bad.

As we realize this mechanism when making decisions, we see that we have the ability to decide again.

Getting to the bottom of the decisions made and questioning the reasons shows us where these decisions come from.

Let’s look at indecision when we approach it from another perspective. When we learn these mechanisms and get a lot of information, we slow down instead of speeding up. As we question everything, we lose our ability to act.

We create turmoil within ourselves as we consider each possibility.

What exactly is this indecision?

  • Fear of something bad happening to you
  • Afraid of making mistakes
  • Be afraid to go into the unknown
  • Lack of confidence
  • Afraid to let go

What is the essence of the matter? How can we leave these possibilities to us?

As is

What lies at the core of the incident is not only knowing too much but also not being able to reject all other possibilities and being afraid of making the wrong decision.

Behind indecision lies not being fully aware of what we want or don’t want. If we look at it from another perspective, in this case, after seeing the target, it will be helpful to think about the riches and benefits of the road or to feel its environment.

The fact that a person cannot let go of other possibilities shows that he believes that a new one cannot come and fill his place. This thing comes with not trusting yourself or your life.

There is no such thing as a wrong decision. Whatever we have decided so far has been for our benefit and benefit. Sometimes we believe even if we can’t see these things…

Here, new decisions can be made by learning from the decisions we have made in the past and growing.

When you realize what you don’t want, you will know what you do want.

If you’re indecisive, it’s because you don’t want that thing. The one who decides moves there with confident steps. Even if it’s very small steps.

Would you make a decision easier if you understood how strong it feels to reject all other possibilities and that the reason you can’t decide is because you can’t reject these possibilities?

Once you understand what you don’t want, you can focus on what you do want.

The Swamp of Indecision

The problem of indecision is that you reflect on the future by thinking about the regrets you made in the past. You don’t have confidence in this matter and you are hesitant to take a step.

Because when trust was gone, you replaced it with anxiety. This state of anxiety causes you to worry.

Indecision means thinking day and night and imprisoning oneself in the future and the past. Since our only reality is our present, determining the future with our mind is just a futile effort.

Thinking about how’s excessively in our minds means nothing but restricting life.

Fear of making mistakes drags us back to this mental movement. It may even cause us to isolate ourselves from life.

Not knowing who we are and what exactly we want and being afraid of being thrown away draws us into indecision.

We can’t be there unless we live it, experience it, taste it. So we just look at other people’s experiences.

What you think as a result of this action shows you. These;

  • Considering the opinions of others and fearing a deep-seated fear of exclusion
  • Thinking that his choice was wrong, he made a mistake and will be blamed.
  • By dreaming of being in the other option, you believe that this choice is wrong.

Here we can go back to an old saying and think. “Even the worst decision is better than indecision.”

This saying tells us that when you are indecisive while moving forward in life, the state of anxiety will pin you to where you are. Choosing one of the two options and starting on the path will at least add something to you.

You can make this decision calmly and confidently by asking yourself what you want. The decision you make is the best for you.

The Solution is Here and Now

What this indecision will bring is inner peace. You are neither obsessed with getting somewhere nor trying to stay fixed in one place.

You are just in the middle. Whatever you do, your coming here is a gift. Condemning or blaming yourself for your path is a futile approach.

If you hadn’t gone down that path, you wouldn’t have learned what you know now. You couldn’t help yourself learn from those consequences. You can take small glimpses into the past and learn lessons. Just with small glimpses.

This is where inner peace lies. Being able to do it without trying to make a choice. To move forward with confidence in yourself and life.

Being able to draw attention to the interior through cities, places, and people will relax you.

Obsessively thinking too much about something that outside gets you stuck in it. The important thing is, is it worth spending so much energy on what’s outside?

Wherever you go, you will take yourself there. You continue to carry it inside you, thinking that you are running away from something outside. What we call outside is a reflection of what is inside us.

Relaxing Steps

So what can we do about this indecision?

  1. Take a piece of paper and a pen and write down your thoughts about the subject and everything that comes to your mind, good or bad, about the subjects you are indecisive about.
  2. Stop and notice whether these thoughts come from within you or from outside sources you see.
  3. You will remember the sources that come to your mind and the places where you got this information.
  4. There will be a clearer line in front of you to make a decision.
  5. If, after making a decision, you think of being punished when you make a mistake, know that these are things that are happening inside you.
  6. In real life, we just do it, the result is unknown until it is done.
