Are you aware of your information sources?
The ideas I planted in my mind 5-6 years ago were reflected in my words and actions that developed at that moment. These have shaped my current life. He explained the value of each step and choice.
Those responsibilities that were not taken after this period became a problem for me within 1-2 years or months. Overcoming these problems was, of course, events that improved people and enabled people to learn.
What I said and thought at that time was exactly what I needed and what would lead me to where I am now.
But of course, we have the chance to learn by taking on our responsibilities instead of the problem.
For example, imagine you are in 5th grade. Leaving the teacher’s homework until the last day creates a problem that causes you stress. Acting without taking responsibility for all that time will lead you down this path.
We learn from the path we follow, we either gain something or learn a lesson. Life always benefits us when viewed this way. We exchange experiences for a time.
That’s why we transform life over time by the way we think and act.
We bring ourselves to our current situation, not anyone else.
We say everything with our mouths and create it for ourselves.
Black Vines
The news, social media, books, family, and circle of friends we feed on right now affect us, even if we are not aware of it. This effect plays a role in our decision-making mechanism.
Were everything you’ve decided so far your choice?
In the world we live in, our environment and its norms have great effects.
Taking in too much fear, anxiety, and life-threatening elements from the environment is harmful in the long run. Considering that the body constantly stays alert and tries to survive, it is a tiring process.
These elements coming from outside are black vines. It extends to every thought of the mind.
These vines spread throughout the mind and pull us down. They highlight these fears in every decision we make.
It is essential to set out by making a plan with calculated risks and to reap these excess vines. It improves our quality of life.
What have you overcome so far that you were afraid of or worried about? Just think…
From another perspective, we should be as careful about ideas taken without question as we are about black vines.
If there is a teacher or mentor whose every word you trust, it is important to pay attention.
These days, we simply accept their information as correct without questioning it.
Of course, the words of the teacher or mentor are also valuable, but it is more important to question them through our filters and experiences after listening.
Sprouting
Here, it is more important to first notice the normal situation than to change it.
We can ask the question where do we get nourishment and realize it?
- The news you read and look at on television and news sites
- People you follow on social media and their posts
- Books you’ve read and your list of books to buy
- Topics you talk about and interact with in your circle of family and friends
Until now, we had to rely on these resources to protect ourselves and be a little more cautious.
Now, by seeing the benefits of these resources and what they protect from, we can act here with our feet firmly on the ground.
By eliminating these sources, we can choose the one that is beneficial and beneficial to ourselves.
As we choose this useful information, we start planting useful seeds in our garden, moment by moment.
We start our transformation into the person we will be in the future now.
Of course, it will take time for these seeds to sprout and become trees. As long as the first step comes from us and we continue to water those seeds, we benefit ourselves.
Our fate depends on our efforts. We have the power to achieve what we want in line with our choices and our efforts.
Garden of the Mind
We have the potential to realize our realizations within ourselves and change them.
The outside is our observation area. We can think of it as the realm of results. Here we observe the reactions, that is, the results, of the effects we give.
We can act as good observers, accept the consequences, and change the ideas that cause these consequences.
The ideas we change are reflected in our words.
Our words begin to create our reality.
Our behavior is shaped by this reality.
Our behaviors affect our current lives.
In this way, we start shaping ourselves from our ideas. The things we call just ideas begin to form our daily lives.
In this way, we can change the things whose roots we realize and understand.
We water these new seeds of ideas that we plant in every area of my mind.
The seeds of ideas we water germinate in our minds through behaviors. These progress towards becoming a tree.
In that case…
What we can do to shape our mental garden;
- Observing the mind through consistent meditation practices
- Realizing the emotions that come from our thought roots
- Becoming aware of how and from which sources we get nourishment
- Taking advantage of these resources and saying goodbye to what we need
- To nourish the mind by turning to new useful, virtuous, and improving resources
For example, watching frightening news on a news channel has been beneficial for self-protection in certain places. With the understanding of this, it is in your power to protect yourself and leave these resources.
Now, we can say goodbye to these thoughts, words, and behavior patterns by noticing them and seeing what they need. This power is available to human beings. These behaviors will become our future, and the future will become our destiny. Destiny depends on our efforts.
Let’s be the ones who instantly realize the useless seeds we plant in our minds and transform them into useful ones healthily and beneficially.
Be with love.
